Definition
The Pay Limit Scheme is a Danish employment route where the key qualifying feature is that the offered salary reaches a published threshold set by the authorities. Unlike shortage-list routes, it does not depend mainly on the occupation itself but on the pay level and compliance with the employment terms. For many applicants, it is one of the clearest ways to qualify for Danish work residence when the role is not on a shortage list.
