Definition

ZAB is Germany's Central Office for Foreign Education. It evaluates foreign academic qualifications and issues Statements of Comparability that employers and immigration authorities may use when a degree is not already straightforwardly recognised through other channels. For many skilled-worker and Blue Card cases, ZAB is one of the most important qualification-recognition institutions in the practical evidence chain.
