Definition
AMS is the Austrian Public Employment Service. In immigration practice, it plays a central role in reviewing employer-backed cases, checking labour-market conditions, and confirming whether a specific route's employment criteria are met. Applicants using the Red-White-Red Card or Austria's EU Blue Card will often see AMS involved even though the final residence document is issued through a different authority.
