PESEL, Polonya'nın ulusal kişisel kimlik numarasıdır. Kamu yönetimi, sosyal sistemler, sağlık hizmetleri ve pek çok pratik istihdam sürecinde kullanılır; bu da onu göçmenlik dosyasının ötesinde önemli kılar.
